A perfect long weekend destination for a winter retreat. Colorful and charming.

Such a pretty city Prague is! More than 50 cathedrals and churches of note. Though our tour guide said many have been re-purposed for non-religious uses. She also said that 34% of Czechs self-report no religion.

Surprisingly mountainous. Even more delicious than expected. We covered a fair amount of ground in Andalusia.

An awesome history that I never before knew. A secular, yet still Islamic-modest, culture I haven't before encountered. Food I want to eat every day! Accommodating, warm people, some of whom simply want to practice their English, much to my relief, having difficulty myself learning even the don't be-an-American-tourist basics.

Costa Rica had been on my list for far too long. Everyone had great reports of their vacations there. I agree--beaches and volcanoes, a wonderful country! During a short trip on 2012, I barely scratched the surface.
